Braking the 3 Year Silence

So, I started this blog 3 years ago as a place where my husband and I could write about our finances and our journey as we saved up for a house of our own. Lots has happened in that time. 2 years ago a financial crisis took hold of us which has held fairly steady and strong. Sadly, I'm an optimistic (too much sometimes). As long as we can pay the rent and bills and have food on our table, life is good. But, after 2 years of unemployment and unsteady incomes, the reality is setting in: We cannot live this way with 3 children. All of us deserve better.

This year, I hope to take control of all of this. We need an emergency fund. We need steady income. We really need a change. Being in limbo isn't going to work for much longer. Expect posts in the next coming weeks about our current situation, goals and how we conquer this financial mess that we're in.
